The door lock sequence will initiate randomly. That is with no input from the control panel or sometimes immediately when an order to bake or broil is entered. I think that the problem is associated with the limit switch. At room temperature the switch should test "open"?Switch should test "on" when temp of 330 degrees is attained? The limit switch PN is WB24K5086 No code is shown on the display panel during or after the door lock sequence. Do you have any suggestions? Thank you, Bob C.
Answer Hello R.J.,
This sounds like a K4 relay that is sticking. This will require the clock assembly WB27K5140 to be replaced. This part has been discontinued and no satisfactory substitute has been provided. The switches are never activated unless the control activates the K4 relay. If the door tries to lock without putting the unit in self clean, the relay has to be stuck in the closed position. I got this information from studying the wiring diagram in the mini manual. This is the same tech sheet you have on the unit. If you want to see it, it is normally in the compartment where the drawer is or on the back of the drawer.
