Most Interesting

When I start the dryer it would run for like 2 minutes then stop out of nowhere. It'd kick back on probably 3-4 times during a 120 minute cycle but only for a few minutes before it stopped working again. Needless to say it'd end up taking me close to 8-12 hours to dry a load of clothes. Finally I got annoyed and went to the main power board and started to look at it. With the dryer on I maneuvered the wires, connections etc to see if anything would happen while the dryer was on. Sure enough 2 different wire connections (where the wires clip in to the board) and one relay would either stop or start the dryer when I messed with it. So I figured I could deal with this nuisance and whenever it shut off just go mess with the relay or connection and start it back up. Though it works it still continues to shut off after minutes at times, and after an hour at other times. So I'm assuming my only option is to buy a new power board. Would I be correct in this assessment?

GE Adora Gas Dryer (model number illegible). This dryer won't heat. The thermostats are ok. It comes on and tumbles normally. There is no power to the rear thermostat, ignitor, coils, or flame sensor. I traced on the diagram that the heat relay (power in- black wire) on the power board has electricity, but the power out (blue wire) has no juice. So, no power to the ignition system. The controls read normal, high heat, etc. Looks like a new power board to me. What do you say? Anything else I can look at? Paul

Dryer does not heat up. I have checked flame detector and igniter for resistance. They check fine (no resistance with power off). The inlet control and outlet control thermistors show high resistance. The inlet safety and outlet control backup thermostats have no resistance. The dryer control panel works. It starts, spins, and goes into extended tumble mode do dry clothes as there is no heat produced.

Dryer has display power, but will not start(no heat and no motor turning). The dryer does not go into diagnostic mode (I have matching washer, and that goes into diagnostic mode). Placed both thermistors on meter as well as thermostats and belt switch, door switch. Motor turns by hand and does not smell burnt. When I push the start button the dryer counter counts down in seconds and not minutes. Which board should I order? The control board or the power board?
