Will replacing this part solve my problem with the control board not working? I've only used this machine twice since I had purchased it several years ago. The lights come on, but when I press the buttons nothing happens. I've held down the button to unlock the panel but it still does not work. I'm ready to throw it away. Can anyone help!!!

Answer Hi Kurtykurt. No, replacing the digital display will not solve your problem. You have a faulty keypad control panel or control board. Here are instructions for programming the test mode, Factory Test mode
1. Disconnect power to the dishwasher. Wait 10 seconds and restore power. 2.Press the Normal Wash key and the Pots & Pans(or Cook Ware) at the same time for 5 seconds (this step must be performed within 2 minutes of power up). 3. the following sequence occur a. All LEDs illuminate for a short period, then the test mode will activate all the components and advance , unless the turbidity sensor test fails(the lock light will illuminate and the control will beep, press any keypad to resume the remainder of the test cycle. At the end of the drain cycle press the Start/Resume keypad to cancel test mode. If the test mode wont program, we'll need to presume you have a bad control panel/keypad assembly WD34X11230 , and go from there. Good Luck and Thanks.
