Hi, my dishwasher is not filling with water, test that I have completed was First I found that the float switch was not working, I took it apart and found the switch was burned up, I tested the out put of the pink and yellow wire connected to it I have 124V AC I replaced the switch, POOF that switch is burned up to, next in line is the water inlet valve I removed it, I tested across the coil I have 1120 Ohm, from other sites I believe that to be ok. So for a test I left that part disconnected and left my meter connected to water valve connector with hope of seeing 124V AC but as soon as I turned it on the 3rd float switch burned up. I now look to a pro for some thot's on this.

My GE Profile dishwasher trips the circuit breaker every time I push the "Start" button. All the wires appear to be OK (nothing frayed or bare). Could a faulty Control Module be the cause of the problem? You folks sell the part for $139 and I can certainly install it myself. I just need to know if that is a reasonable source of the circuit tripping problem. Thanks.

Latest Questions

The dishwasher will not turn on. I tried unlocking the keypad, but no luck. The door appears to close securely as there is an audible click. I disconnected the power, waited a minute, then turned it back on. The unit beeped once. If I open then close the door, the unit beeps once and the heated dry light flashes briefly. Please help, I cannot afford to buy a new dishwasher. Thanks

My dishwashewr will not fill. I have replaced the water valve and float switch. The dishwasher does have water coming to it. The keyboard appears to be working as it should. Any ideas as to what I need to try next?

I have a dead short on this model. I removed connections to every piece of this dishwasher one at a time and the only time the breaker does not trip is when I remove the main connection to the control module. Can I assume the control module is shorted? Thank you
