I replace the door handle activator and all the dishwasher does is just lights up and doesnt fill with water and does nothing but sit there how do you check the control panel.
The best way to check the unit by putting it into a service diagnostics based on the tech sheet that is under the kickplate. Run the diagnostic mode and make sure that everything works. This would most likely be a control board that is faulty rather than a issue with the control panel since it is lighting up.
Hi, my dishwasher is not filling with water, test that I have completed was First I found that the float switch was not working, I took it apart and found the switch was burned up, I tested the out put of the pink and yellow wire connected to it I have 124V AC
I replaced the switch, POOF that switch is burned up to, next in line is the water inlet valve I removed it, I tested across the coil I have 1120 Ohm, from other sites I believe that to be ok. So for a test I left that part disconnected and left my meter connected to water valve connector with hope of seeing 124V AC but as soon as I turned it on the 3rd float switch burned up. I now look to a pro for some thot's on this.
Answer Hello Chris. You will need to trace the pink wire back to the board and look for breaks touching the frame of the unit.. Also, check the yellow wire for the same grounding issue. If both are good, replace the water valve on the unit.
