Most Interesting

The times for the various cycles change from time to time. For example, the normal wash cycle varies from 55 minutes to 62. I also notice that the time remaining while it's running will change occasionally to values that are much less (i.e., a 10-15 minute reduction) than they were the minute prior. The cycles do not seem to complete as they should as there's often liquid detergent still left in the reservoir or running down the inside of the door. Is this the result of a faulty control module? Thanks for your help.

I think we damaged the ribbon cable when we reattached the door front. Getting a high-pitched tone and all lights coming on. Is the ribbon cable attached to the control box or can I buy it separately? Elle

My dishwasher suddenly stopped drying the dishes. The heating elements doesn't appear to be broken or damaged. Could it be that I need to replace the control board? All the lights appear to be working properly and I press the add heat button but it does not heat.

Latest Questions

I asked about my GE PDW8280J01SS. The element would not heat up. The element was okay, so you suggested replacing the control module assembly WD21X10215. The element now works in diagnostic mode, so that's great! The water seems hotter now when the cycle is running. Now the problem is that neither the "Sanitize" nor the "Added Heat" buttons seem to work. I turned it off at the breaker to try and reset it, but to no avail. Any thoughts? Maybe I forgot to connect something? It seems ironic that the issue was with the element, and now the two buttons that don't work are related to that too!

I have a GE PDW8280J01ss and the element won't heat up. I've placed it in service mode, and everything works except that when testing the element it doesn't heat up. I replaced the element with a used one that definitely was working and it still doesn't heat up. Question is that is this control module the likely culprit, or do I need to replace the escutcheon panel?

Initially, our dishwasher would not start when the start button was pressed. The appropriate lights were lit, and after some time (overnight) the dishwasher did start and complete the cycle. This happened several times. Now, most of the lights do not come on at all (the Added Heat and Heated Dry lights do come on, and sometimes the Start light flickers for just a second). The Start, Added Heat and Heated Dry buttons beep when pressed, but none of the others beep. Any recommendations on how to proceed? Thanks!
