The motor will not start. It will start and run with belt removed & turned by hand. Capacitor checked ok. The bearings are good. Will I have to replace the motor?

Hi , Murray here , I have customer with a g.E. Bottom mount fridge , customer complained of noisy evaporator fan . The temperature in fridge and freezer is normal , the fan is not the problem , on top of the evaporator coils from extreme left to right , there is a block of ice about 4 inches thick, the coils themselves are clean, not frosted over , there is no door seal leak. Is it possible it hasn't gone into complete defrost? Thanks

My machine starts and runs fine. Half way through the cycle it stops. The tub does not spin again until it gets to the rinse mode. The water pumps out but the tub will not spin unless I manually turn the switch to spin. I looked at the inverter and there is a red light that blinks constant

My washer has stopped doing the spin cycle. It seems to wash fine. and I have checked the 'lid switch' (per the advice of one of your tech folks) and it is fine. I took apart the front panel and when I put the machine to 'spin' the motor gets hot and if I push the pulley it sorta starts to spin. I think that I require a new motor. Just one last thing, The pull switch that lets me choose which cycle I want has broken also. It pushes in and out fine, but to select a cycle I have to turn the inside ring by its-self, It has been functioning fine this way for quite a while- but could this have caused the problem with the motor? If you agree that a new motor is needed, I of course will purchase the new selector also. Thank you!
