Washer machine seems to intermittently stop and start during wash cycle agitation with a clicking noise (approx 1-2 seconds each). Rinse and spin cycle are fine. I replace the lid switch. Could it be the motor?

Answer David, Your first check needs to be at the agitator and the agitator coupling and bolt WH49X10042, If the coupling is "stripped" and shifting on the transmission shaft, it could make a noise.

part. 603 motor and clutch assembly WH49X10035 comes with a clutch kit. part 608 CLUTCH AND CLIP ASSEMBLY WH5X256 also mentíons a clutch. Does part 603 already come with the clutch and CLIP of part 608?

My washer seems to agitate like normal but the high speed spin is not happening. It spins slow but not fast. I also noticed an odor from the machine. The odor kind of smells like a burnt belt but not quite sure.

Answer Hello Andy, You may want to check to make sure that there is nothing in the drain. If the unit is not draining properly it will not allow the unit to spin at the high speed. Check your drain pump for obstructions, things inside, make sure that the vanes are not damaged. Check drain line to make sure it is clear and not clogged.

Answer Frank, You want to remove the front panel, and run the washer, and isolate the location of the noise, you'll need to be careful. You'll need a putty knife or similar tool, insert the blade into the seam between the front panel and washer top panel, and press in on the locking tabs, and pull the front panel towards you to relese it. Since there are no idler assembly or pulleys, you most likely have a "slipping" clutch and or noisy belt WH5X256 , WH1X2026. There is also the possibility of an issue in the motor itself WH49X10035 , and you want to use the proper part for the model number you have.

My washer does not spin or agitate. I know the motor is bad. The motor shown on this website has a different connection than the original motor that came off the machine. Is there an adapter that goes along with this motor so the connections match?

My washer pumps the water & agitates fine however does not spin, the motor is very hot and again more than likely needs replaced. However it spins okay, but rather loud if I give it a helpful push. I really only need to know the Amps that this model motor takes there are a few different model motors I have seen. Is the ap3160670 the correct one? because it doesn't seem to match power adapters. The one installed is at 9.2/7.3 amps or would "wh20x10025" work for this unit at 5.0 amps and 1640 rpm instead of 1140 rpm. I am ^%(&$$ confused my washer was "repaired" and still seems to not function properly. (clutch assembly replaced)

Answer Jeff, You have the correct washer motor for the model number you suppliedWH49X10035. This part is a substitute part, but the manufacturer has determined that it will work properly, and will not create any adverse effects when installed properly in your washer, This is the part you need to use(read and follow the instructions, before you start). Now for the noise, If the noise is from the motor, and is at the start of the spin cycle, you're on track. If the noise is after the start, and/or once the tub has "ramped" up to spin speed, then we're discussing a tub bearing issue, most likely. And don't forget about a new drive belt WH1X2026, if the servicer didn't replace it when he worked on the clutch. Thanks
