Washer does not agitate nor spin. Can hear a relay or circut breaker tripping out when you ask for it to run or spin. Can spin tub by hand, at first it was tight. It does pump out the water. The washer has sat in a garage for a couple of years.
You will want to test to see if power is getting to the motor of your unit. If there is power getting to the unit then you will want to take the belt off and see if the motor runs without being connected to the transmission pulley. If the motor WH49X10035 still does not run then you would need to replace the motor.
My washer experiences a clanking sound intermittently during the spin cycle. It appears to start only after the motor is hot after the washer has been in use for 10+ minutes, but once it starts, it is frequent and causes spinning to stop. Is the motor cutting out because t is getting too hot? How can I troubleshoot this?
You will want to pull the agitator and check the hub nut that holds the inner tub in place. If the hub is loose it will cause the inner tub to shift and cause an unbalanced issue which could cause the unit to shut down. Also check the pulley on the bottom of the motor to make sure that it is not getting loose when the motor heats up. If these check ok then the motor is most likely faulty.
