I asked a question before about th3-phasd er and ended up needing a new motor. The motor that was in there was 3-phase for some reason. Replaced it with the correct 1-phase motor and things worked fine for quite a while. Now, though, there is a red LED flashing on the board on top of the motor, 4 quick flashes. Any ideas? Fills and drains, but doesn't spin. Thanks!

My washer is GE model WBSR3140GWW. It is 5 years old. It does fill, drain and spin. But when in washing part of the cycle - it does nothing. The Agitator doesn't rotate and the basket doesn't move either. I checked the Agitator. To do that I removed the Agitator and the Agitator coupler. They both look intact. Then I wanted to see if the transmission shaft is rotating without the Agitator sitting on it. To do that I started the machine. The washer started filling the basket. Once it stopped to fill - it indicates that wash cycle has started. I looked at the transmission shaft. No rotation. It was sitting still. After several minutes of "pretending" to wash - the washer ran thru drain, fill, rinse and spin just fine.

Latest Questions

Washer stops at beginning of agitate cycle. It logs a 6 blink code on the inverter board. It will clear but comes right back when it starts to agitate. It will spin if you clear the code and bypass agitate.

Machine will fill and drain, but will not spin or wash clothes. Is it possible it is the motor? If so what else do I need to get to make sure it will run? Like do I need fuses also???? Thank you.

Note: This question is for the older version of this part, but we thought you might still find it helpful

Our washer was not in use and I started to smell something burning. I noticed smoke coming from the unit and unplugged it. The smoke stopped. Later we plugged it in again and ran a load of wash. The washer filled fine, seems to have washed the clothes but won't spin and left the clothes saturated with water. Any ideas? Thanks
