Replaced and reset control board. Ran all tests of which all passed except spinning the drum. I assume then, I have a bad motor, or sensor or inverter. My guess is the motor. We are out of the country with no repair people available to verify.

Replaced the control board and motor and my washer fills with water, ready to wash but does not spin. The time is running but will not spin. What can possibly be causing this?

This GE front loader will fill, agitate weakly for about 30-45 seconds, pump out, and then return to the "start" mode w/ the blinking start button. Cycle time advance 1-2 minutes. Using a troubleshooting guide, I got an error code E46 for motor. Going through the steps, I believe I have diagnosed a bad motor sensor, as the resistance between the two yellow leads at wiring harness p9 on the control panel is wide open, i.e no resistance. I verified that the control panel is sending power to the motor by checking for 120V at the inverter plug during service code test t11, and the motor sometimes runs during this service code test, others not. Does the diagnosis of a bad motor sensor seem reasonable given the above description? Thanks.

My GE front load washing machine was in it's final spin cycle this morning. I loud noise came from the unit and I smelled electrical type smoke and shut down the unit. I restarted it with 9 minutes to finish the cycle. It finished it's cycle and I haven't touched it since this morning. Is the motor bad? belt? bearing?

The drive belt broke and twisted around the drum pulley. After considerable effort, I removed the belt and replaced it and the pulley. However, when it goes into the spin cycle it make such a noise that it sounds like it is going to explode. The wash comes out fine and the sound is fine on all other cycles.
