I have watched the videos replacing both the Condenser, and Evaporator Fan. Fridge still working OK, but sometimes a little moisture inside the freezer. But it is very noisy when motor/fan runs. I recently replaced the motor/pump assembly on a dishwasher of similar vintage, with your help; and was amazed at how quiet the unit is now with the new motor assembly. Could I expect similar results if I replaced either, or both, of these units in this fridge? Not ready to replace the whole unit just yet. By the way, love your site. It is a terrific resource.

Replaced the defrost thermostat, defrost timer, evaporator pan heater and coil element, cleaned the drain tube, replaced the fan blade and the foam block around the fan (due to damage from service operations). It defrosts fine now except for one problem - the evaporator fan is accumulating ice on the bottom rim and just behind the fan blades- in about 10 days the fan gets really noisy from hitting the ice and eventually stops. Moved the fan blades back slightly more than the 3/16" called for in the repair manual, but the ice keeps accumulating. What could be causing this ice buildup?
