My friend will produce ice but not water from the dispenser when the plug is in place. If I replace the plug with a filter, it leaks. Does this mean I need to replace both the valve AND the Filter Head Assembly?

I have a GE PSS26LSRCSS. A water line coming out of the water inlet valve has split open (unit is almost 10 yrs old) so water spills on the floor and the water dispenser doesn't work. Ice maker runs fine. This faulty water line is about 5"-6" long and comes out of an insulated hole just above the water inlet valve. Then, it goes into the water inlet valve. There's almost no give in this tube as it comes through that insulated hole. How can I replace this water line/fix this problem? Thanks, Tom

Anyone know the diameter of this hose? Is it 5/16" or 1/4"?

I am not getting any water to the ice maker or water dispenser in the door. I have run a line through all of the hoses I can reach and nothing appears to be clogged. There is no water in the resevoir assembly. Nothing is frozen. The damper was recently replaced because of freezing temperatures in the food section. I have replaced the water filter and the water control valve with zero improvement. Is the next step to replace the water filter head?

Looks like part number ap3414864 is the replacement head assembly for where the water filter attaches to. When the filter is put on it leaks a small drip. So by replace the head assembly will this correct the problem? Thanks Tom
