I have a code FO flashing on the front panel of my GE wall oven model JRP15BOW5BB. I have been told the control board needs to be changed, how is that done and what is the correct part replacement?
Answer Hello Lee,
To replace control assembly, open oven door and remove 3 screws across bottom of panel. There are also 2 screws on the top that you need to remove. You should be able to remove the control panel at this time. The F0 Error code may require the replacement of the oven control WB27T10270 and the Control panel assembly WB36T10542. The error code indicates that there is a stuck key.
Can you give me installation instructions on this part, please?
Answer Hello Cameron,
Discontinue the power supply to the unit and pull it out far enough to remove the top panel that covers the back of the control panel. Remove the screws from the rear control panel cover. Be sure to be careful of the sharp edges! Wear gloves if you have them. Remove the screws securing the assembly in the control panel and allow it to hang by the wires. Get the new board and hold it next to the old one. Remove the first wire and install it on the new board. Remove the next wire and install it on the new board. Continue in this fashion until all of the wires have been transferred to the new board. Reinstall the screws that secure the assembly in the control panel. Reinstall the control panel rear cover and re-establish the power supply. Once the unit has been tested, the unit can be moved back into position and secured into the cabinet.
