I have a GE model No PFS22SISBSS refrigerator that just went out. I have been reading different post and think its the relay switch. I hear a clicking sound followed by humming noise of the compressor trying to start then after 10 seconds relay clicks and humming stops. This happens about every 3 minutes. I also noticed the fan is turning really really slow, the compressor is hot. Prior to the fridge not working I noticed the side of the fridge was very hot and was struggling to keep the its normal temperatures for both top and bottom. I just wanted some input before I start ordering parts.

I was reading some of the other questions and answers about parts. Here is my dilemma. Refrigerator wants to start but there is the clicking noise that I think is coming from the PTC & OLC Assembly, but then the refigerator eventually starts after 15-20 clicks. Do you think it is the motherboard, relay or PTC & OLB Assembly. Thanks

Answer Hello Eric! The PTC and OLP assembly WR07X10097 is the start relay and overload protector assembly. The start relay kickstarts the compressor. The overload protector protects the compressor from overheating and also stops the compressor from starting in high current conditions. Hope this helps!
