Answer Hello Frank. If you remove the screws holding the evaporator cover in place, you should be able to access the socket and unplug it. You will pull the top of the cover out enough to unplug the wires, then remove the cover. Once removed, you can press the clips on the socket and replace the socket WR2X9391. Hope this helps.
My refrig made noise. I tried to remove Cover evap asm Part Number: AP3205153. Hoever, I could not remove the Plug button. So I could not remove the Cover evap. Answer Hi Frank. You will need to remove all power from the unit. Then you will have to take off the bottom light cover assembly. In the breakdown it only shows one screw on the left and right side of the cover. It does show 2 plugs on the lower half of the cover. They used to allow access to thermostats on different models. Unplug the 2 wires on the light socket behind the cover and remove the cover. The Evap. fan motor blades will hit on the ice build up on the evaporator coils if the defrost system is disabled. The defrost thermostat part # WR50X10071 and defrost limiter WR50X10068 control defrost also. These are the (usually) "normal" failed parts. The freezes sensor controls the board by telling it what surrounding temperatures should be and are. This is located on the rt. upper side of the evaporator coils behind a plastic cover. This part # is WR55X10025. The light bulb is part # 8009. Thank you.
Where in the frige is the plug located?
