The washer won't run or operate unless the dryer push button switch is turned on. Would it be the power resistor problem? Thank you for any help you can provide.

Answer Rey, The resistor wire could be damaged or bad, you should be able to test it for a resistance reading with a multi meter. I actually think, your problem is elsewhere. You could have a power supply problem, make sure you have the proper voltage on both wires when you start either machine. If you've got a power or voltage problem, you may be back feeding voltage through the dryer circuit to complete the circuit, and start the washer.

Drier completely dead. Checked the starter switch, door switch, thermal limiter kit. All okay. Changed the timer, checked the power resistor, reading is zero ohms, other resistor okay. Didnt get to the safety switch yet. Still not working. Is there any other thing to check? Drier is getting current but nothing happening. All wiring okay with no breaks. All jack contacts clean and shiny. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Answer Martin, You've checked most everything, for circuitry, and you may have to check for voltage to find a broken or damaged wire, The resistors on the timer should not cause your issue, but the resistor between terminals R and TM should read 4.4000 ohms and the resistor between W and E should read 3000 ohms and you would want to check the wiring and the belt switch WE04X10096 circuits. If all's OK, then you'll need to start the voltage checks. Good Luck and Thanks
My wiring harness completely fried itself somehow. Where can I get a replacement wiring harness I dont see it on your website. How much would they run? Or is it possible to hardwire splice all the wires together?
Nathan C. for Model Number DSXH43EV0WW
Answer Hi Nathan. Usually wires will have issues at the terminal block because of loose connections. Part # WE4X716. The wiring harness is not supplied for your unit. You can use a pack of butt splices along with a set of strippers/ crimpers is one way to connect wires. Use the same size or slightly larger wire to keep in the proper wire gauge per circuit. Butt splice connectors part # TJMA02522-1. Stripper / crimpers part # MA-30428. Thank You.
