Though my model says it needs WB20X5050 I want to buy WB20T10025 as it is soooo much cheaper. Can you stick both in the same glass of water and check their electrical resistance across the "Audio Jack" bands? I want to know if they give you near the same number? Are they much different from each other when done with a glass of hot water? If so, WB20T10025 is a way cheaper alternative.

Answer Hello John,
We can only recommend the parts listed for the model number provided since variances can exist that are not evident to the naked eye. The only way to know for sure if they would interchange is to order both and test them under the exact same conditions and make sure the jack is the exact same size. A very small difference in the diameter of the jack would cause a drastic difference in performance. You can obviously buy the one you want as the consumer, but GE will not guarantee a satisfactory result from the use of the item since it isn't listed for your model number.
