Hi My washer stopped pumping out the water. I figure it is the pump and took the back out to check. I removed the to hoses leading into the pump and found nothing blocking the impeller on the pump. Putting the unit into spin mode, I could see the the impeller moving slowly and touching the edge would easily stop it, and it felt like the motor had no torque which would lead me to believe it is the pump? Could there be a clog anywhere else? It is not clear to me if there is some valve that open a drain from the tub to the pump when extracting water?

My washer drains sometimes and sometimes it does not. When it doesn't is happens later in the rinse cycle. The pump is triggered but only makes a humming noise. If I drop the drain hose down to my mob bucket (18-20") it will drain out, but not at full flow rate. The pump motor turns off and the slow flow stops if I open the washer lid, so the pump is moving some water. I can use the washer a day later and it will work fine through the entire cycle. I suspect the pump motor in on the verge of going out but I do not know if this working/not working phenomena is attributable to the pump or a control issue. I pulled a cloth through the input/output of the pump and nothing appears to be stuck in there (along with checking the hoses). The plastic rotating piece also seems to move ok. The pump motor is warm during the ‘non-working’ condition but not overly hot. What do you think?

I have looked at diagrams, but am still not able to locate model/serial number tag anywhere. This is a GE front loading washer which will not drain.

I have the ge profile harmony washing machine... my question is how long does the pump normally last? and i'm pretty sure but i'll just ask, if my washing machine isn't draining, then I get an error saying test pump may have blockage, and the test does nothing at all, that would be the pump right? Thank you,
