I have looked at diagrams, but am still not able to locate model/serial number tag anywhere. This is a GE front loading washer which will not drain.

Answer Hello Tena,
Unplug the machine from the wall outlet. Open the unit and locate the drain pump. If the door will open, it isn't a bad idea to get all of the water out that you can from inside the tub because when you remove the hose from the drain pump, water from inside the machine will run out. The pump will most likely be restricted by lint and pocket debris. Make sure it's clear and reach into the pump with a screwdriver or other long skinny object and make sure the impeller isn't broken or detached from the motor shaft. If you can find no problem, plug the machine back in and set the control to drain and spin with the leads of you test meter in the wires that were connected to the drain pump. There should be 120Vac there. If so, order a drain pump. If no voltage, check the connections from the main control. If no bad connections are located, order the main control board.
Now the issue you are going to run into is that the parts are located by looking them up by model number. You will have to locate the model number to get the correct parts.
My washer does wash but it does not spin & dry out clothes automatically. I can go to special cycles and set dpin & dry cycle for 19 minutes. It does spin but then it does not totally dry the clothes to go in to dryer?

Answer Hi Kuthiala. Since you say the spin works in the 19 minute cycle but still does not get the water out then we will address it from here. You need to either reach in from the bottom or into the back cover to remove and check the pump impeller. Is it clogged ? Is the impeller broken loose and spinning freely on the shaft ? If so it is part # WH23X10020. Is the drain hose clear ? Is the sump hose (where the tub to the pump connects too), is it clogged with coins or small clothes ? Remove the top tub cover by uncapping it. Look with a flashlight in between the inner and outer tub to see if there are any balled up clothes slowing the spin speed down. Thank You.
