I have a Kenmore dishwasher that will neither put water into or remove water that I have put into test the operation. I do not see the drain solenoid operating and if I do it manually it makes a funny noise. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

My dishwasher does not drain after the wash or rinse cycles. Could it be the timer that is not allowing the solenoid to function or could it be the drain solenoid only or both? Joe

Latest Questions

I have two issues. 1.Tub doesn't drain completely. There is always some water sitting by the sump cover, about 1/4 inch. I have cleaned out the sump area and took apart the drain hose to make sure there were no blockages. How do I get the washer to drain completely. 2.When the Pump Drain Valve Arm engages there is a leak behind the white plastic part that gets pulled down by the solenoid (see Item Number: AP2041455). It appears to be coming from the pump side and runs straight down the solenoid. The screws are factory tight and it only leaks when the arm is shifted down. Do I need to replace the pump? Could this be contributing to the tub not completely draining? Thanks for any help you can provide. Not sure if I need to buy a pump or something else.

My dishwasher doesn't drain completly and there is a distinct odor of rotten eggs. The water that remains is brown in color. Odor remains even after dishes are cleaned. It seems to operate normally otherwise. How do I get rid of the odor?
