Push buttons for crushed and cubes and motor does not work nor dispenses ice. What is wrong-what parts do we need for repair and how do you repair?
If the unit is not dispensing ice then the first thing that you will want to check is the control bracket 2180226. The control bracket is located behind the dispenser front panel. To access you will remove the drip tray and use a flat blade screwdriver at the bottom of the façade. There are 2 slots. Place the screwdriver in the slot and pry out. The façade will pop loose on one side. Do the same for the other. Once the façade is loose then lift it off. You can check to see if the lever is making contact with the switch and if the pins holding the switch in place have broken. If they have then you will want to replace the control bracket. If the control bracket is ok then you will want to do a voltage check to the ice motor which is located on the inside of the unit 3rd shelf up at the top. Remove the 1/4" screws and check for 120 vac with the light switch closed and the lever pushed. If there is 120 vac but the motor does not turn then you need a new motor 2212363. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html
