I need to replace the dispenser control board. I have the outer trim piece off but not sure how the control board comes out....I see no exposed screws or clips.....but can see the gray colored bracket that holds it in. If you have any helpful info I would really appreciate it......
Answer Kevin, There are no clips or screws holding the control board to the dispenser. " The dispenser interface can be removed to access the display board and the dispenser shield mounting screws. The interface is held in place by 4 tabs that hold it to the dispenser recess. To remove the interface, it is necessary to grasp the bottom lip of the interface on either side and gently pull it towards you." Carefully lower and swing the board away from the dispenser enough to disconnect the wire harness connectors.
Water does not dispense, but crushed ice, and cubes dispense. Do I need the dispenser board ( pt # AP3203034) or the touch board with the 4 push button outer panel (pt# AP3849791 ) Thank you
Answer Hello Bernie. Remove the water line from the bottom of the freezer door and press the dispenser and see if the water comes out. If so, the water line inside the door is frozen, and you will need to use a hair dryer to thaw out the water line. Be careful not to melt the line when thawing the line. If there is no water there, you will need to replace the water valve, if there is power to the water valve. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Hope this helps. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html
