Hello!! The ice maker works fine but when I ask for water, the light comes on but no water comes out and I do not hear any noise like the solenoid valve opening. I have replaced the water inlet valve and the filter with no success. In a live chat it looks like the main control panel or the "4 button recess display" are the only remaining possibilities. Should I buy both parts or is one much more likely to be the cause of the problem. Replacing the main panel looks easy but could you give me some advice on how to replace the front display. There is not a video for it. Thanks! Jim Simpson

Hello, My refrigerator is leaking under the catch pan for the ice and water dispenser and has rusted the door in that area. All the buttons for the ice and water options work fine. I could use some help to find what is causing it and how to fix the freezer door facade Thank you so much for your time,Mik3.

When I try to get water from the door the water will not shut off or will continue to leak, I have checked the water line in the bottom back of the all the way to the bottom of the door and see nothing. I have a feeling the problem is in the door and can not figure out how to access the inside of the door to check for any problems. How do I access the inside of the door and what should I look for that would keep the water from shutting completely off and stop this leak. Currently I have to shut the main water valve off to get the leak to stop.

I have a few issues. The graphic overlay has peeled away. Can I buy that without spending $88 on the complete button panel? Also, my ice buttons work but the water freezes for the water dispenser. I did the test to check the water flow..it's fine. Lastly, my ice overflows or become completely stuck together (why I'm replacing the broken auger). Any help there?

I have a GE fridge and here's the symptoms. I want to find out as much as I can before I go buying parts. When you put a cup in the dispensing area for ice or water and push in, the little dome light that lights up the dispensing area goes really dim and so does the little green light on the selection panel above (Water, Crushed/Cubed Ice). If it's on water, I do not even hear the pump (or whatever it is) try to come on so I know it's not a frozen water line in the freezer door. If it's on ice, the ice motor doesn't turn on. Here's the kicker. The fridge and freezer run perfect. Nice and cold. BUT: If the fridge is running and I try to get the water/ice and the compressor is running, the compressor shuts off. When I take the cup back off, the compressor starts back up after a couple minutes. So does this sound like the main circuit board behind the fridge or the selection panel in the freezer door going bad? Any input is appreciated. Thanks.
