Hello, My refrigerator makes ice but dispenses no ice or water. Help! :(

Answer Hello Eric,
You either have a bad actuator switch WR23X10783 or the control WR55X10443 has failed. I would first suspect the switch as they are more susceptible to splatter damage from ice dropping into drinks. Before you start, unplug the unit from the power supply. Now you need to remove the drip tray and grasp the bottom of the display facade where the tray fit is and pull down and out at the same time while holding the door shut with your leg. The bottom will pop out and you then lift it up to un-hook it from the top of the enclosure. Once access is gained, use your test meter to verify the switch. When you push the button on the switch, it should show continuity. When you release it, it will show no contact. If this tests good and the mechanical apparatus is operating the switch properly, the board is now the part in question.
It will depence both kinds of ice but no water.

Answer Hello Ronnie. Remove the water line at the bottom of the freezer door and see if water comes out there when pressed. If so, the line is frozen in the freezer door. If there is no water there, you will need to remove the water line from the bottom of the valve. If there is no water there, but power when pressed, you will replace the valve WR57X10032 on the unit.
