The freezer will not defrost correctly, resulting in ice build up on the coils. someone told me about a possible problem with a timer? Please let me know, if possible, the best route to take. thanks.
If the unit is not defrosting then you will want to check the continuity of the defrost heater and bimetal. If they have continuity then the most likely cause of failure would be the defrost thermistor. This unit does not incorporate a defrost timer but uses the main control board to go into the defrost. It has 4 components of the defrost, the control board, defrost thermistor, defrost heater and limit thermostat/bimetal. The most likely cause of failure will be either the heater or the thermistor.
I bought a relay and I removed it to oder it and I can't remember how to replace it. What colors go were?
Answer Hello Ricardo. Black goes to the com terminal, Orange goes to run, and White goes to start. Run is number 4 on relay WR07X10084 and start is number 6 according to the wiring diagram.
