The seal plastic on the inside is not shaped properly anymore and I can't keep my refrigerator door closed. Is that replacable?
Answer Heidi, Yes, the retainer strip is repalceable, but that's probaly not the issue, it's usually made of metal. Sounds more like you need a door seal WR24X535 that may have become distorted and damaged or a door liner WR77X0575 (which is no longer available from the manufacturer) which has cracked or broke away from the retainer strip. You may want to attempt to make some type of repair with a tape product, but it would only be temporary. Good Luck and Thanks
The stripping around the inside of the door is coming off. I think it is part 103 on the GE diagram but am not certain. It is rubber and goes all the way around the frame of the door.
Answer Hello Barbara. The gasket for the refrigerator side door of your appliance is sold in two colors. Black WR24X535 and white WR24X529. This is the seal that fits around the door and seals it tight against the frame of the appliance when the door is shut. I hope this info helps.
