My Repair & Advice
The longest amount of time for the entire repair was the time it took me to research the availability of the Baking Element for an older GE Hotpoint oven. I used the model #, and eventually found the current Bake Element that could be used on this oven because I didn't know which company would be most trustworthy concerning their parts info, reliability of the part itself, reliable delivery, safe purchasing practices, etc.
Your website made it very easy for me. I have the most basic and modest of mechanical know-how...primarily, I'm not afraid to try, but at the same time, I know my limits; i.e. if any repair gets too involved (or requires heavy lifting) I know I have to throw in the towel and call the professionals! But your video was great, I understood what to do, I double-checked the part recommended on your site by measuring, etc.
The part arrived within a few days--without special, costly shipping. I had the part installed and the oven working within 10 minutes from opening the box to washing my hands! It is so important for us to keep extra spending to a minimum because my household is on a fixed income. So, I thank you with all my heart, and I would happily recommend you to everyone.
Thank you, thank you!
