My dishwasher failed to pump out the water after the cycle was over, so I bailed and sponged all the water out of the tub. I checked the float assembly to make sure it was not clogged and I checked the drain lines to make sure they were clear. I also pulled the filter basket off and checked for blockages and even removed the drain to the pump from the underneath side, no clogs. I put everything back together and tried to run it and it would not even fill with water, so I replaced the solenoid, but that did not fix the problem. It does not sound like it is cycling through the various cycles, the motor just runs but it will not fill or drain. I am tempted to replace the cycling switch but for that much money, I don't want to be wrong? Do you think this is the problem?

When I run the dishwasher in normal cycle, it does not completely drain all excess water. Most of the water is drained but not all. Usually about a cup of water stays in the bottom. What are the possible remedies?

Our washer starts and washes the first cycle just fine but after that it does not fill with water or just fill with a minimal amount of water dishes end up with soap all over them at end of the entire cycle, I'm suspecting timer or sequence doodad. Also the knob to start the washer has changed "feel" after the initial start-up cycle.

Latest Questions

I replaced pump motor assembly and also the escutcheon at the top of the door, transferring all of the parts (control panel, timer, etc.) from the old escutcheon. At first, the detergent dispenser level (number 861 on diagram) wasn't in the correct position. After starting dishwasher, realized problem and stopped it mid-cycle. Re-assembled to get lever in correct position. Dishwasher now works, but it has some unusual and very short "spurts" at some points during the cycle, lasting only a second or two. This was never the case previously. I wonder if the timer/sequence switch is out of sync, or has gone bad.

My dishwasher has power, but no lights come on when I latch the door to start up. I traced the power in the door and the black wire is hot going to the "Control ASM" and the "Sequence Switch" but there are no lights on at all. I suspect it's the Control ASM. The lockout switch clicks when depressed.
