Answer Hello David, To change out shock is not difficult. It is just a matter of lifting out one and installing new. You will want to use 2 people to make it easier.

Answer Hello Keith. If the noise is coming from the shocks, then you will need to replace the shocks WH16X10057 on the unit. You need to check and see where the noise is coming from.

I have a GE WPRE6150K1WT and the springs (shocks) are white colored. What are the correct replacements for this? Listed are WH16X10057 and WH16X10141. Thanks.

Answer Craig, the front shocks are showing to be part number WH16X10141. This is the white colored shock. The rear shock is part number WH16X10057, this is the green colored shock. Thanks!

Answer Hello Rod, The squealing is most likely something in the drain pump. As far as the suspension rods go, since the motor is mounted in the front, the front springs are stiffer than the rear, so the answer to your question is no, the suspension rods are not the same.

Ge washer wlsr3000g1ww bangs during all cycles. Tub sways back and forth during agitate and spin cycle. Motor bottom support plate bangs against (2) small angle shaped parts fastened to cabinet base. Even happens using the 'delicate' setting. Replaced the (4) WH1X2727 rubber shock dampening straps but did not fix problem. I wonder if replacing the (4) WH16X10057 Rod and Spring Assembly Suspension Rod parts would solve the problem ? Thought possibly the springs might have become weak over the years of use allowing the swaying motion. Washer is about 5 years old. The washer has "always" handled 'small' loads, evenly distributed. Washer is level. This problem just started. Thank you for your help and advice.

Answer Hi Fred. "Locate 2 spring clips between the top cover and front panel by aligning a putty knife with left or right edge of lid. Insert the putty knife and push forward to release clips. Rotate the front panel forward and lift off the bottom tabs. To remove the cover/lid assembly: Remove the front panel. Remove the lid switch. Remove the two ¼-in. hex screws securing the front of the cover/lid assembly to the cabinet. Pull the top cover toward you while lifting up the front edge to release the side catches. Slide the top cover to the left to release from the 3 tabs. The front and rear rod and spring assemblies have different spring compressions and should not be interchanged. The rods are color-coded to ensure they are replaced in the correct position. Note the color location before removing. Disengage the front rod and spring assemblies by raising the tub and removing the spring assemblies from the platform. The tub assembly will now lean forward. This allows clearance to reach behind the tub and access the rear rod and spring assemblies if necessary." The rear rods are the black colored part # WH16X544. The front rods are the green colored type part # WH16X10057. Thank You.

The tub on my machine is very loose and wobbly. The tub is somewhat noisy when agitating and spinning..a rhythmic thumping sound. I am assuming I need to replace the four suspension rod/spring assemblies. After removing the cabinet pieces I noticed the front rods were yellow, and the rear are orange. I do not see orange listed, only green. Do the green replace the orange (rear)? And do/should I replace all four suspension rods? Thank you - SCS Online
