Our dishwasher wasn't draining and was leaking from what looked like the solenoid. By cleaning out the dishwasher, I was able to fix the drain problem, but the leak is still happening. It only leaks when the solenoid is engaged and I'm assuming working to drain the tub. I replaced the solenoid to see if this would fix the problem, but it's still leaking. After watching it more closely, it looks like it's leaking from the drain shaft. Is it possible to fix/replace this without replacing the entire pump? Thanks!!

I have a GE dishwasher that's probably 10 - 12 years old. It started to leak from the bottom. I noticed the leak is coming from the solenoid. Would this indicate a bad solenoid or a bad pump/motor assembly? Thanks, EML

When dishwasher is started water starts to fill and then drains out not leaving enough water to reach top sprayer and operate lower arm. 110 volt going to solenoid which opens and shuts constantly. 110 volt going to water fill valve at start and rince cycle, 18 to 34 volt in off cycle. question is do I have a bad drain solenoid valve or a bad timer? timer does advance, float switch n/open is working.
