When we try to turn on the stove the breaker trips immediately after turning the knob. If I change the spark module WB13T10047 would that fix the problem? It acts like there is a direct short and that seems like the first place to start I just do not want to keep throwing parts at it.

Latest Questions

My problem with the cooktop is that the front two have been intermittent but most often to not light. The three back gas burners ignite and light instantly. I have replaced the spark igniters, burner wire harness and burner wires. Still the problem persists. I am wondering if it could be the Spark Module. Note that when I use a screwdriver to check if there is current to the igniters for the faulty burners I do get a spark. It seems like the spark is not strong enough to connect with the metal on top of the burner. Any suggestions?

I have a JGP-975 Gas cooktop, built in. Where is the spark module located on the cooktop? You demo shows only for stoves not cooktops. The unit has been sealed to prevent food from going under the cover plate.

This is a Kenmore 36" gas cooktop. When any of the 5 knobs are turned to the LITE position the igniters start but there is not any gas going to the burners until the knob is turned to the HIGH position which cuts off the ignitors.
