After cooking dinner last night one of the electrodes started to click and would not stop, I tried cleaning it still kept clicking, I had to unplug the power supply. Do I just need to replace the electrode?.
You will want to check your ignition switches WB18T10338 to make sure that they have not gone bad. To do this, you will need to check the continuity of the switches when the valve is turned off and if there is continuity through any of them then the switch is bad and would need to be replaced.
I believe I need to replace this based on the comments I see and how my stove top is performing. How do I access the switch? Through the top burners or in through the oven below? I've removed the knobs, but don't see a way to access the switch harness.
Answer Hello Chip,
The spark switches are located on the valve stems for the burners. You would have to pull the control panel over the manifold off to access them. With a model number we may be able to assist further on accessing the switches. Please post your model number with a new question on the parts page. http://www.appliancepartspros.com/modelnumber_locator.aspx
