Hi- Our GE dishwasher will not drain. The drain line is not clogged and the solenoid is operational. I removed the sump cover and sump retainer to check for an obstruction. There was nothing, but I did notice the sump inlet is deteriorating. The "pipe"mthat goes up to the arm is cracking (the piece with the check ball inside). Will the cracks keep the ball from moving correctly? Will that prevent the dishwasher from draining? If so, should I only replace the sump inlet or are there other parts that need replaced at the same time? Thanks!!

If you could help, my Hotpoint Dishwasher isn't draining... washes, fills, etc. Purchased a drain solenoid from you, after first attempt at troublshooting, that isn't the problem. The Flapper in the pump housing AP2039468 has the little black insert. Checking the sump, AP4300603 I see the little ball AP5645087 is way down at the bottom on the side closest to the motor. I'm assuming, the motor is okay, since it sprays, the impeller spins with the motor shaft... that must be okay, the flapper in the pump housing is a little stiff, but is being activated by the solenoid... so, does that leave the ball out of place? The q/a I looked at for the part mentions right/left orientation of the ball, but I'm not sure of inlet or where it goes. Thanks!
