Will this part cause my oven to shut off before reaching the desired temp? Where is it located?
Answer Hello Johnny. If the thermostat WB24T10079 opens, the unit will not heat. If the unit heats, but does not reach and maintain proper temperature, you may have a bad oven temperature sensor WB23T10015. You can test the sensor. It should read around 1100 ohms at room temperature, and 1650 ohms at 350°. If it is bad, it will cause the oven to turn off before the programed temperature is reached. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Hope this helps. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html
