Hello, no one will admit to it but I think one of my kids pushed/pulled the wash cycle knob to hard. Anyway, it doesn't connect inside anymore. I opened the back and was able to hold the metal "box" in back while I turn the inner white dial in place, push the knob in and turn to selected cycle. The machine runs and stops ok but then does not stay "set" in place. I tried another load the same way and was able to get it running but it was alot harder the second time to line everything up. What parts do I need to fix? Thanks!

I've bought the timer knob the time and a timer dial assemblybut as I try to attach in all its not sturdy and I don't hear a clicking sound. What do you think I need. I called the neighborhood maintenance man but he said there's still one part missing and we still don't know which one it is

On my washer (WHDSR316G0WW the dial nob that selects the wash cysle spins freely. I can push down on the outer ring that has the arrow to select the wash cycle. When I pulled out the clamp and removed the outer nob it seems the plastic teeth were broken (not on the nob itself but on the part left on the washer) everything else works fine. Which part do I need? Thanks Shannon

Latest Questions

I am wondering if this is the part that controls the functions of the washer. My functions are working properly but the switch will not move on its own. For example, it will continue to spin, wash, etc until I manually move it to the next function.

Thanks for your answer, the timer seems to work because I can move it with my fingers. There is one knob with an outer ring, I can turn the outer ring to make the washer work but it's obviously very difficult, it used to work with the Knob now it does not. I pulled the knob off and the plastic gear appears to be broken, I would like to replace that plastic gear.

I pulled the control knob off and the plastic gear is broken. I believe this is the issue. Will replacing the Rotary switch Part #AP5272124 which seems to have a plastic gear fix this?
