When the oven is lit, the stove igniters are continously going off. Will replacing the oven surface/thermastat switch behind the on/temp set knob likely cure this problem? Can the switch be tested and if so, can it be done with it removed from the range?
Answer Kurman, on this style range, your issue is most likely due to a weak pilot light or a faulty spark module 4363560. When you turn the oven thermostat on, the spark module sendsthe circuit to the igniter on the pilot assembly, once the pilot assembly ignites and produces enough heat on the temp. bulb, the circuit is broken and the spark module circuit opens and the sparking stops. If the thermostat switch was faulty, it would not spark at all, or would never stop sparking, until you unplugged the power cord. Good Luck and Thanks
