I bought a replacement switch (PS237353) for one of the burners which fixed that burner's starter continually firing. Now the spark module is firing on it's own and happens at different intervals of time, without turning on any burner gas valves. When we disconnected the yellow wire to the spark switch on the front right burner the unit stopped sparking. The problem I have with this solution is that all four burner spark switches come together into one wire that goes to the spark module. In my mind, disconnecting one of these wires should not have any affect at all. I've looked at the wiring diagram (I'm and Electrical Engineer by trade) and I don't see how in the world disconnecting that one yellow wire would have any effect at all. FYI: My brother-in-law and I did discover from another friend of ours that he has the same unit and was having the same problem. So it sounds like this is common among that particular GE Profile appliances. Last: as long as that one yellow wire, off the front right burner spark switch is disconnected, everything works (except the front right burner). Any suggestions on what might be causing this problem? Also, recommended replacements parts for the fix? Thanks

I have a GE cooktop. One of the switch does not produce spark. There are two GE part numbers listed as 4 and 6 (WB24X5345 and WB24X5346). Both are listed as LT which I am aguessing is for left side switch. Please identify which one is for right side switch and which one for left side switch. Thanks
