Our GE washer is at our cabin. When I turned the water on at the cabin the washer started filling with cold water even though the washer was turned off. The hot water did not flow. What needs to be replaced?
Answer Hello Mike. If you can stop the water from entering the machine by turning off the timer or unplugging the unit, you will need to look for a bad pressure hose or replace the pressure switch. If the only way to shut off the water is at the shut off for the water hoses, you will need to replace the water valve in the unit.
Washer overfills causing water to leak. Does not come out of top but from somewhere under or behind washer.4
Answer Hello Zieb,
You will want to check to see if the pressure hose may have come loose. If the pressure hose is loose it will leak and will overfill the unit.
