The machine doesn't turn on. The panel lights up, but machine doesn't start. One of the heating elements was broken and repaired, but this didn't fix the problem.
When I push the Start button once, there's one click; I push it again and there's two clicks. How can I fix this? Thanks.

Answer Hello Joe,
First check the door switch. If the door switch checks good, the next check is the idler switch (belt switch). The control board gets its' power before either of these switches so they are the first suspects. If both switches test good, the wiring can be checked with no power to the unit with a resistance meter by testing from the white wire at the terminal block, (center terminal where the cord connects to the unit), to the brown wire on the control board. This will show a resistive reading through the motor windings if the circuit is complete, but should not read no connection, (infinite). If it turns out to be the belt switch and the belt is off or broken, the belt should not be replaced without finding the cause of the belt failure. This is normally caused by a bad drum bearing or idler pulley resisting rotation, causing the belt to burn at the slipping motor pulley.
