Dryer no heat. I have checked the element.
Answer Hello Ralph. Check and make sure you have 240 volts coming to the dryer. Check and make sure the unit is not set to Air Fluff. Also check the thermostats and see if they are good. You can test these with a multi-meter TJMA-DM1. They should read closed for continuity. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html
burner only on 30 seconds. how to get to thermostats to remove and test.
Answer Victor, If you haven't yet, disconnect the exhaust vent from the back of the dryer, and recheck for the proper temperature, with the drum empty, you may have an issue in the venting system, causing the dryer to cycle the hi limit thermostat. The cycling thermostat is located on the blower housing, the hi limit and control thermostats are located on the diffuser mounted on the back wall of the cabinet. Either way you will need to raise the top, and you will need to remove the front panel(at least) to get to the blower and thermostat. Thanks and Good Luck
