What colors wires connect to the temperature control switch?
Answer Hello Jeff,
I'm sorry but we cannot tell what color the wires are for that thermostat without a model number so we can pull the wiring diagram. I apologize for the added inconvenience but I assure you it is necessary to have the model number from the units' I.D. tag. Thank you for your patience and understanding in this matter.
I'm looking for a oven thermostat for a GE 27 inch drop-in electric range. Its about 38 yrs. old. The model no. on the oven is JMS26001HI. Do you have one that will fit it?
Answer Hey Larry. I do apologize, but the thermostat part# WB21X5320 has been discontinued and is no longer available. The manufacturer is not providing any information on anything that would work in its place.
Oven light stays on when oven thermostat is off, would it be the thermostat control, or the oven light?
Answer Ron, You do mean the pilot light ? it should cycle off an on with the bake element. if it stays on it is most likely a "stuck" contact in the oven thermostat. There is a constant 120 VAC to the light . so you also want to make sure there aren't any pinched or damaged wires, that may have shorted to the chassis and causing the light to illuminate.
