Hi, My GE microwave no longer powers up. The fuse is not blown and I changed it anyway. I did notice that the thermostat, listed as part# wb24x10025 is burnt out and one of the wired connections is burnt stuck to it as well. Would this cause the unit not to power on at all? Would replacing the thermostat and wire connection allow the unit to power on and work again or could something else have burnt out or shorted? Thank you

My microwave stopped working last night after heating element or something up. It seemed hotter than normal inside the microwave but the display is totally blank. The display for the oven still works and the breaker wasn't tripped so I assume that means it still has 120 V. I tested the internal fuse and the fuse is fine. Does this narrow it down to either the thermal sensor or magnetron sensor? How do you test the thermal sensor?
