How do I test a thermostat like the one in the picture? At room temperature, the switch is open (across the gold contacts) regardless of the dial setting (off to 1 to 7).

Hello, I have a mini fridge (Frigidair/elecrolux throw away) that I need a termostat for. Mine looks identical to part # AP3420688 Ser: RA62242294 but mine has a defrost button. I dont care if the defrost works but the thermocoupler that comes off mine is 25in from the center of the switch. I'm looking for something compatable. Thank you, Nathan.

I received and am installing the thermostat (part # AP3420688). The ground wire was easy to identify, however, which terminals do the wht and blk wires go to? They were removed by someone other than me. One is labelled "C" and one is labelled "L". Thanks!
