I have a GE Electric dryer. When I set the dial for a particular cycle the dryer will go on when I push the "ON" button. However it does not turn off. It will stay on until I stop it manually. It dosen't matter what cycle it is set on, it never stops on it's own. I thought it might be the timer. I have had the dryer for a number of years. Can you help me?

When we select the Automatic, Perm Press & Knit side of Cycle Selector, the dial does not advance nor shuts off automatically - it keeps running. Have cleaned connectors and area but problem still exists. Can u provide a reason or solution? Thank you.

Latest Questions

I have replaced the gas valve and the igniter, is there also a thermostat that can be replaced. The dryer does't heat up and this is all I can think that is left.
