Answer Hello Bob. Test for power coming to the timer motor. If there is power there and the motor does not advance, you will need to order and replace the timer WD21X10013 in the unit. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Answer Hello Don, I believe you are in the ball park with your diagnosis. This does definitely sound like the timer has a bad set of contacts. I usually provide the part number, but I cannot do this without the model number to look it up with.

Answer Gary, Very good deduction, unless theres a problem in the wiring harness underneath the tub, or at the bottom of the door, you may want to check that first. If the wiring is OK, then the timer, We're dealing with two separate components and operations, it's not likely both would go out at the same time. Good Luck
