I purchased part number GEN WE04X20089 (Timer) and was an idiot. Took off wire connector and don't know where to put them. Timer has A, B, C and H on one side and X, T, F and C on the other. I have brown, red, yellow, etc wires. Can you help?

Our dryer timer knob will not start the dryer unless you turn it backwards. We bought a replacement part #WEO4X20089 and put it on. The dryer will still not start unless we turn the timer backwards and it will not stop when time is done. It doesn't seem to advance after setting the time.

The dryer stops in the middle of a cycle and/or only runs for about 10-15 minuets before it quits. You have to fiddle with the time/cycle selector and find a sweet spot to get it to start again. Really thinking timer is needing replaced but just wanting a second opinion. Thanks.

My timer is very stiff and the dryer is not heating. I have checked all of the thermostats and heating element. All have continuity across them. I have also checked the wall outlet for 240 volts it was also good. I dont know what else to do besides change the timer please help!

The clothes selctor knob is just turning stiffly and not "clicking" and catching in place at the place I want it to. Is this the part I am going to need to replace AP3994848?
