My husband bought a timer for our dryer. He didn't connect it up correctly the first time. I went back and reconnected it but the dryer is not working. If I have connected my wires to the correct place , but my dryer does not come on after being plugged in again, what could be the problem? Is it possible to blow the timer if it is reconnected wrong the first time?

My husband bought a new timer. (The part number is WE4M533) He took the part off before I had a chance to see where each wire connects. Now I can't put it back together because I do not know which wires to connect where. I have 6 wires and the letter A B C S T and X. The COLOR wires are brown (1), white (1), yellow (1), hot pink/red (1), and the a light orange (1). oh and black. The black wire has a small end so I know where it goes, but where do the others go?

Latest Questions

I have bought a new timer, part number we4m533, and now realize I shouldn't have taken the old one out prior to installing my new one. I need to figure out where to plug in each wire. I have looked for a picture of the wiring but cannot find one. The dryer comes with a wiring schematic but I can't read it. Is there anything that would help me out? I guess I need to know where to plug in each different color wire to which post. Thanks.
