I'm trying to hook my timer up, but I don't know which color wire goes on the c b a x t s
Answer Stacey, we're having difficulty finding a wiring diagram for the dryer model number you supplied. Using a basic diagram, you may want to try placing the wires on the following terminals: Term. a, orange wire to selector switch. Term. b, black wire(L1) Term. c, brown wire to start switch. Term. f, white wire to the heater circuit. Term. t, black wire to timer motor. and Term. x, yellow/black wire to motor circuit. This is the best we can do under the circumstances, you may want to raise the top of the dryer and check for the wiring diagram attached to the interior of the dryer top panel.
Does a bad timer switch affect whether or not the dryer will heat up?
Answer Hello Gary,
Yes, the timer WE4X872 can affect the heating of the dryer. The thermostats, heating element, and motor can affect the heating also, not to mention the wiring harness. Anything in the circuit will affect the circuit. The breaker, wiring and receptacle is also in the circuit.
