Unit fills agitates but does not start the spin cycle.
Answer Hello Wallace. Check and make sure the unit is draining all the water and if so, remove the pressure hose from the pressure switch and blow into the air dome to see if it is clogged. This will cause a no spin issue on a ge washer.
The washer is not cleaning well. Also, when it is done with the cycle there is still water and the clothes are really wet.
Answer Hello Corey,
If the drain pump has not failed, there could be a clog between the outer tub and the drain pump. The most common cause of this issue is foreign items and debris in the pump. This can sometimes be cleared but the impeller should be checked since it is prone to separate from the drain pump motor shaft.
The washer won't start, but if I play around with the different settings on the timer it will start.Do I need a new timer,is there any way I can check it.
Answer Hello Rick. If you can play with the timer and get the unit to start, then the timer is bad and will need to be replaced on the unit. However, if the unit hums, but does not start, and then after fooling with the timer does start, the motor is bad and will need to be replaced in the unit.
