How to replace the timer control for ge washer part#wh12x950
To remove the control panel you will need to unscrew but DO NOT remove the 2 screws located on the bottom edge of control panel. This releases the latching mechanism screws. To loosen the control panel latching mechanism, turn screws at teach corner counter clockwise, until the control panel disengages. Pull the knob off and remove the screws holding the timer in place. To tighten the control panel latch mechanism turn the screws clockwise but make sure you do not overtighten. When properly tightened after replacement, control panel will sit flush to dryer cabinet. Note: if you have a problem with the latching mechanism screws, remove end caps on either side by removing the 2 screws. This will allow you to compress the latch and release.
Washer washes only on one cycle and will not drain spin or rinse.
Answer Hello Jerome. You will need to check the timer on the unit and see if it is bad. If so, you will need to replace the timer.
