Washer fills and washes, but does not drain. The timer literally stops. I changed out the timer, and it has the same problem. The motor isn't running for the drain cycle, and I don't see the evidence of a bad coupler. What am I missing?
Answer Hello Zach,
I would check the lid switch WH12X955 first. The drain pump WH23X10018 is driven off of the front of the motor, so it could still be a defective pump. This could also be the motor WH20X10010. The mini manual should be located in the control panel, but if you cannot find it, post an e-mail address and we can send it to you.
The washing machine on my GE stacked washer dryer will not complete a cycle. If I move the timer knob a bit up or down or side to side it will restart, but usually not for long. Do you think the timer contacts are bad? I have considered replacing the timer, but hope to find a more economical solution.
If moving the timer around starts the machine the only thing that will correct it is replacing the timer. Since the model number is not here, I can't verify the part number but if you want us to you can repost with the model number and we will research it and verify the correct part number for you.
