Answer Pam, The exhaust transition, should measure 6 inches at the top and if formed to the exhaust plenum port of the cook top(semi square). The exhaust end of the transition will measure approximately 6 inches round. So your existing exhaust vent hose will need to be 6 inches round, and be rigid or semi rigid metal pipe.
