Refrige started a slow drip under after 12 years. Pulled out, opened back bottom, water in drip pan(that dosn't come out) about 1/2 inch. was not over flowing (but definitly needed to be cleaned). The copper pipe does not appear to be dripping. Possibly what other reason could cause a slow leak that has ruined about a ten or fifteen sq. ft. of laminate. It took us a while because the leak was or is so slow. We turned off water to ice maker. I'm sure there is water still in the line, do we have to drain pipe? How? Husband said copper line was dry when we took the back off and saw no where water was dripping down!! Drip tray is very tight in and did not want to do any damage by forcing it out. We certainly don't know what we are doing.
Answer Hi. Look at the house supply valve stem. Is the nut under the handle (packing nut) Leaking? It can stream a leak. Look at all the water lines in the units water valve part # WR57X10033 to see if they are all pushed in tight and square fully into the valve. See if there are any cracks in the water line or any pin holes in the water valve. Dismount the water valve and see if the back side of the valve has a pin hole leak. (a very common issue). Look at the top of the water line where it connects to the ice maker fill tube. If the fill tube is frozen then it will eventually "push" itself out of the clamp part # WR02X11437 and leak. Make sure the back cover is clean and the inside insulation is intact. Make sure the condenser fan turns up to speed. Make sure the condenser coils are clean. The freezer drain tube is supposed to be fully inserted in the rubber grommet or coupler. Thank You.
