Tried to replace part # wr17x11653 ice flap. I cannot get the outer door trim off.None of the answers pertaining to my problem on yuor site fit my model refridge.
It is not necessary to remove the outer trim of the dispenser. If you grab hold of the dispenser control panel and pull on it from the bottom it will release. You will then remove 4 screws and this will give you access to the dispenser door.
On the door of the freezer theres a frame that needs to come off so I can fix the flapper door so it will close properly. How do I remove this part?
Answer Hello Jeff. You do not need to remove the trim. The door dispenser control panel allows the
consumer to select water, crushed ice, or ice
cubes. It is an interface to the main control board. 1. Use a screwdriver to unlock the tabs at the
bottom of the control panel. Slide the bottom
out and down.
